Welcome to Columbia Koach!

The home of Conservative Judaism at Columbia University and Barnard College

Letter from your co-chairs - Ariella and Sarah

We want to welcome you to Koach! We are the Conservative Jewish group of the Columbia/Barnard Hillel. Our goal is to create an open and warm environment for Conservative Jews to come together for prayer, education, and lots of fun. We offer many exciting and social programs every semester that bring together many members of our community. Our educational opportunities are thought-provoking and deal with a variety of Jewish topics. We hold Friday night, Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon services every Shabbat. We have Rosh Chodesh and festival services as well. Our services are entirely student run, allowing everyone numerous opportunities to participate, learn and lead prayer services. Our community is made up of students who come from a wide range of religious background and practice. Koach offers something for everyone, and we are always searching for new ways to bring our community closer and offer programs that appeal to everyone. Your input is always welcome and appreciated. Please feel free to email us us with your suggestions, questions or comments. We look forward to seeing you at Koach!
