Rabbi Yonah Hain - Hillel Campus RabbiE-mail
Over the last couple of years, Yonah has been a part-time member of the Kraft Center rabbinic staff. Simultaneously, he served as the Assistant Rabbi of the Bronfman Center for Jewish Student Life at NYU. This year, he is "ecstatic" to assume his new position as Campus Rabbi at Columbia/Barnard Hillel. Yonah looks forward to getting to know as many of our students as possible through recurring educational initiatives, Shabbat and Holidays on campus, diverse religious and social programming and, lastly, as guests in his apartment on the Upper West Side ("I should say, our apartment, shared with my wonderful wife Elana")! "With this new appointment, I welcome all students to be in touch with me; no conversation topic is too mundane or too abstract- from Jewish text and tradition to daily university life. Always feel free to stop by my office on the 3rd floor of the Kraft Center."

Chanel Dubofsky - Coordinator of Social Justice & Israel ProgrammingE-mail
Chanel oversees the student groups doing community service and social justice work, as well as Israel-focused groups, and would love to talk to you about opportunities to do both. She moved to New York from Oberlin, Ohio, where she was the program director of Oberlin Hillel for the last four years. She was once a fellow with the Jewish Organizing Initiative in Boston, and in a previous life, a student at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where she drank too much coffee and took too many classes. Chanel is a fiction writer who enjoys NPR, celebrity gossip, folk music, cereal, art, and used bookstores.
