Social justice is one of the major offerings of Jewish life at Columbia and Barnard. Tzedek Hillel provides a venue in which students can integrate Jewish values and actively pursuing tikkun olam (the repair of the world). Through Tzedek Hillel students can participate in community service, activism, education and develop partnerships with campus and neighborhood agencies. In addition to groups dedicated to specific issues, Tzedek Hillel offers general programming where students can continue to explore the connections between Judaism and social justice.
